747-200B fuel tanks
« on: March 18, 2022, 12:57:25 AM »
How has boeing added a performance mod for an aircraft that hasn’t launched yet (747-200B), as described in the aircraft news?

I just wonder because the 742 is very late this year… seems odd.

The modifications are always with a fixed date and do not take account the production date randomization. Though I believe I have checked that the mods always appear earliest after the maximum randomization period so this case shouldn't really happen.

I suppose the mod is available for the -100s also? Not sure, but maybe that plays a role. Either way, I found the announcement entertaining as a fellow alliance member is patiently awaiting the -200 series launch. I was meaning to poke some lighthearted fun.
