In an attempt to cross new frontiers in an attempt to deal with a recurring weather crisis plaguing the United States, Swiftus the president and CEO of Swiftus Express has opened a rift between one known universe and another. Using technologies researched for the Swiftus Atmospheric Monitoring Institute, a series of lasers focused into a crucible array has opened a portal with the past. While they were successful in communicating with the year 1958, it turns out that the Earth they are talking to is not in the past but is actually a completely separate Earth.
Swiftus could be seen shouting into the open barrier between space and time alarming those to be fearful of the JT3 engine and what effects flying DC8s can have on the atmosphere. Sadly this all fell on deaf ears as these planes have not yet been designed and the JT3 would be a leap ahead from current jet technology. Before the rift closed and sealed up, a dire message was passed through warning about what is to come if all the successful airlines seemingly come from the USA.
