Jakarta airport fate

Hello,
I just started a new game based in Jakarta WIHH. I havent played in a while do I asumed my base airport will automatically change to WIII when it opens in 1985. Now I see WHII will actually remain open and just be downgraded to a secondary airport. Does this mean I am stuck in WIHH for the entire game or I will be able to change base to WIII when it opens? Thanks for clarification.

You will automatically switch operations to the new airport. If you would like to stay at the secondary airport, then you just message Sami.
