Used Acft Market
« on: May 06, 2021, 05:00:06 AM »
For (Game) month now I notice that there are no 737s (any year) or 320series available.   0.  I have never seen that before and seems really unusual.

320s are so popular that they are leased by someone once they are found in used market.

No more MD80/90s either, which has never been seen before. But this specific game had far less used frames than usual modern times games. So one has to be more patient, and get new frames from the manufacturer, and/or diversify fleets (not too much, fleet commonality can be a killer).

The starting aircraft in this GW was very low.  Right now, there is 7x A320 fleet aircraft total that the UI brokers have.  If they are released in next 2 game years, 270 players are clicking refresh on the Used Market - well, you can just as well go out and buy a lottery ticket...

I would recommend to order some new aircraft instead, but the production lines are capped too low, so that you delivery may be 2 years from now....

Slowly the situation is becoming ridiculous.  Last I checked there were only a handful of Russian "mainliners" (100+ seats) available on the used market.  Everything with a jet and wings is sold out.    That can't be intentional.

This is what every GW looks like at the start, better get used to it  ;)

well, modern times, usually not. It's the exception - not this time, for some reason.

I remember the start of AG being like this. I was soon taking anything with plywood for wings that had a tent (as a cabin) duck-taped to it. Literally anything that could fly.

We’re pretty far into the game for there to still be a shortage or aircraft

Rather the contrary. The crisis is over, there is more money available and everyone buys more stuff. There were also less bankruptcies than expected.
