Is it a simple mistake for newbee?
« on: April 27, 2021, 02:44:36 PM »
I open 3 flights on the same route and set dep time carefully to make sure each flight's dep time is at least 1 hour later than my previous flight following the suggestion in manual.(Atlanta--San Francisco)
but load factors grows more slowly than other route on which I schedule only one flight (Atlanta--LA)

maybe it is not a good idea at the beginning of a game to open several flights on one route?

It's not a good idea to start flying a new route with more than 1 flight.

Exception would be if the route has demand of > 1000s of passengers per day

For passenger ticket sales, when your Route Image (RI) is low (i.e. closer to 0), then you won't be able to sell more than 20-30% of the estimated demand on the route no matter what you do. When RI is high (100), then you can possibly sell all of the demand. Everything else is somewhere in between.

So, what's happening here is that your ATL-LAX demand is significantly higher than your ATL-SFO demand. If you put 3x 150 seat planes on a 1500 demand at LAX, they will fill within a game month of flying it. If you put them on the SFO route with a demand of 500, it'll take you about a game year to get them all selling.
