At it's quarterly investment meeting Volppe Air Group has announced quarterly results for Q3 1962.
The results in Q3 1962 are marked by the first time that the heavy investment in it's new cargo business is really starting to pay off. The cargo business saw it's revenue explode with a 30% overall revenue increase and 100% growth in the heavy cargo segment of the business. With more planes still in conversion to cargo configuration Volppe Cargo is expected to double it's overall revenue's in the next 12 months to over 200 million a quarter.
Volppe Airlines the passenger part of the group has suffered from slow growth in Q1, Q2, Q3 of 1962 because of the decision to rapidly convert the entire 707-320 fleet to the more advanced B type. These planes will start rolling of the assembly line in Q4 of 1962 so expectations are that Volppe Airlines will resume it's growth path in the current quarter with a lot of additional capacity coming online due to simultaneous introduction of the DC8-32 planes for medium haul routes.
Volppe Leasing is currently waiting for more deliveries of the IL18 , F27 and especially the 727 in 1964 for future growth.
Based on current developments and expectations Volppe Air Group has upped it's guidance for 1963 from 3 billion in turnover to over 3.7 billion and profits exceeding 1.4 billion.

Together all these divisions employ over 31000 people and operate a total fleet of over 400 aircraft. And expect to turnover over 2.8 billion in 1962 growing to over 3.9 billion in 1963. With margins staying the same at 27%.
