Marketing Costs
« on: January 04, 2021, 12:46:07 PM »
I thought the only thing that mattered for CI, all other things stable, was the amount of spending.  I increased my spending recently and CI went down 5 points...any thoughts?

Number and variety of campaigns will do it. 1 campaign that spends the same(or more) as 5 campaigns will arrive at a lower CI number.

other factors do affect this. I had a surge in CI replacing my DC6s by comets - probably because the delay rate did go down.

So 5 campaigns of any type (even the exact same type) at 2 million a week is better than 2 campaigns at 2 million a week?

I will go back to spending less with more campaigns to get back to 90.  Or try at least.  I now have 5 campaigns spending within 100k of what I was spending with 3 campaigns (will double check).  Hopefully I get back to 90.  Anybody have a breakdown of what types of campaigns you are using to get above 90?

Sure but if I don't have any major changes...or any changes at all except marketing...I expected a more predictable response...

news/radio/billboards for each of the first 4 levels to get to 90, and for each of the 5 levels to get to 100 is what I typically use.

Thanks, I just allocated my spending again to get above 90.  I'm spending 18% of revenue's as you say and moving up past 91.
