Changing financing on an ordered aircraft
« on: December 29, 2020, 08:25:23 PM »
Quick one

Is it possible to change the financing from leasing to purchasing after the order for an aircraft has been placed?

Thx!

Yes, but its always a more expensive deal for you rather than doing it properly at the initial ordering stage.

I think you can purchase it after the aircraft has been delivered ? I could not find a way to change the financing mode when the aircraft has not been delivered yet.

go to aircraft on order, there's an edit button next to each plane. Anything closer to delivery than about 10 months you can't change the purchase type. Anything further away than that, you can.

Yes, the option is available after ordering.

Basically you lose all the pre-paid lease amount?  ???

So with this amount you secure the production slot and in case you raise more funds until 10 months prior to delivery you can still purchase. Seems like a good but expensive option. But sometimes you have no choice  ::)
