How did this go so wrong?

There are literally 50 daily flights between SGN and HAN.
SGN- DAD 35 daily flights

AWS demand is 50. 50 people....

it's barely superior in HaTF. I know,I'm based in Vietnam in HaTF. Late game demand in developping countries does not follow their development rate. It's a general problem, not specific to Viet Nam.

A quick look a the official airport website shows that even in those harsh days for aviation, there are plenty of domestic flights indeed :

Today 22-05-2000, in the 1200/1800 slice, 6 departures do Da Nang (all in A320 or A321), and 25 departures to Hanoi (didn't check all the frames, but first ones are also all are in 320sor 321s). I indeed feel robbed in my HaTf game. That low level of demand until the early 2000s is probably realistic. After that, not.
