"other costs" in cargo handling a bit extreme?
« on: April 23, 2020, 06:38:04 PM »
Doesn't it seem like the other costs are a bit extreme? KORD-KLAX with almost 100% load factor on A332F generating like 245,000$ in revenue only making $4000 in profit due to 232,000 "other costs"? Seems to be happening on plenty of other routes as well. Seems like this may be somewhat excessive. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure, but it could be staff, landing/takeoff, overflight, and ground handling fees.

Two of the largest and most expensive airports in the game.  Obviously you are based at either ORD or LAX but if you move the same flight to a secondary airport like Gary or Burbank you can fulfill the same demand with much lower fees on at least one end.  Additionally if you are flying with 100% load factors that means you need to raise prices, which means less fees since you are flying less cargo and higher margins.
