Fun Express and Convair continue its partnership

Fun Express is proud to order 36 newly built CV-440 aircraft continuing our long-term partnership with the American Convair Division of General Dynamics. We absolutely believe in the longevity and air superiority of this old turboprop design which has always gotten our passengers and your cargo safely to their destinations - even in the coldest of Japanese winters.

Feel the breeze and don't freeze, because with us, you always fly with fun into the rising sun!  8)

Thank you!
Your Fun Express team would love to welcome you on one of our next flights.

At TransAir we're pleased to see someone keeping the old Convair's in the sky, however I hate to inform you that the American Convair Division of General Dynamics have lied to you, and this 'old turboprop design' you speak of is actually an 'old piston aircraft design', and you've been conned!!!

If you want a turboprop - Fokker F27 is a good bet ;)

Fun Express management had a talk to the marketing department. This was the commonly known "what the marketing tells you and what the technician understands" problem. Our marketing department thought "turboprop" would sound nicer to our audience, however the technicians interpreted that merkting wording as the fact to get the "most efficient" engine which we believe is the piston engine of course. Hence our LH fleet running the same engines on the DC-6. While others waste fuel and destroy our environment just to be fast on their jets, we can be truly considered a green airline and can still compete on turnaround times on domestic flights due to shorter airport stays and better maintenance infrastructure.

PS Since piston engined planes usually fly at lower altitudes you can better see the beautiful landscape of Japan that we so love at Fun Express!
