Gander Intercontinental Skyways have had a difficult couple of years, trying to get all aircraft clear of D-Check problems, whilst staying alive and not disrupting passengers. Earlier this year, GIS managed that, and recently opened Luton Airport as a Viscount only base operation.
For the first time in 2 years however, GIS have expanded operations at Heathrow, with new daily flights to 4 new international destinations.
"We're super excited to offer expansion once again at Heathrow. We have another 28 aircraft to come back into service as finances allow, and these are all earmarked to expand our already popular, and market leading offering. As an airline, we are focusing more on the profitable short haul market, and our Viscount planes, but long hail expansion is still important into new markets" said the CEO.
