In order to inspire the workers and peasants of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics towards ever greater achievements in the arena of socialist construction and the battle against capitalist exploiters, the directors of Soviet Happy Airline have given names to each aircraft in the fleet, to honor heroes of socialist labor.
The two Douglas DC-6s in the fleet are named Vladimir Lenin and Karl Marx. We note that Soviet engineers and aviation experts are working hard to design our own long-range airliners to replace these two capitalist aircraft, which were purchased shortly after the end of the Great Patriotic War and before the onset of the Cold War.
The IL-12s in the fleet are named Sergei Kirov, Alexandra Kollantai, Lev Kamenev, Nikolai Bukharin, Maxim Gorky, and Alexi Rykov, all heroes of the October Revolution.
The IL-14s in the fleet are named Mikhail Frunze, Gregori Zinoviev, and Iron Feliks.
