Cargo

Hi all,

I have 2 questions regarding cargo:

1) I sometimes see that my boeing 377 is advised NOT to have any cargo (all cargo is blocked) although the line has a bit of cargo available. Why is that?

2) I was wondering what impact cargo has on your airline? whether or not you have cargo available on your commercial flight, there is no impact on turn around times or so and don't see any impact on finances (maybe I missed them and it's not clear how it is calculated), anyway in other words, I only see benefits in having cargo available and no downside. Am I right?

Many thanks
Don

While each aircraft itself have space for cargo it is first taken by bags of passengers and rest is allocated to the cargo. If you are flying a route which is near the maximum range of the aircraft, then there might not be enough payload capability for the cargo since a lot of fuel is needed. All this calculation is highly realistic and very detailed. The manual explains more:

Transporting cargo will increase your staff needs but overall there is no need to decline from it if you have demand available.
