aviamecanica confirmed as TU-134b Launch Customer
« on: December 01, 2019, 09:53:35 PM »
Moscow/Mexico City - aviamecanica has been confirmed as launch customer for Tupolev's newest TU-134 variant.
What took Airbus engineers decades to figure out: Increase seating capacity by "Space-Flexing" toilets and galleys,
Tupolev accomplished back in the 70s. Engineers spaceflexed the cabin from 70 to 85 standard economy without sacrificing
comfort - applies only to Pax under 5"8 and 170lb  :P
aviamecanica has ordered it's aircraft in two seating configurations: 2F/8C/65Y and 4C/80Y while still boasting a cozy
seating arrangement for 4 cockpit crew in the nose.

aviamecanica is bound to Soviet aircraft for political reasons so these birds will need to fly until grounded by Chapter III.
If anybody knows till when Chapter II planes can keep flying in Mexico, that would be much appreciated.
