[-] fuel used adjusted for load/wind/speed
« on: December 01, 2019, 11:44:01 AM »
right now fuel used by an aircraft is Xkg/hour regardless.

In order to make us better airline managers I'd like to ask that a planes fuel usage be much more responsive to each individual flight, just like in the real world when a captain/ops plan fuel load based on load, weather etc.

a) that the fuel used take account of pax load, so half empty 747 uses less fuel
b) ditto cargo
c) that we be able to adjust speed like Airbus's CI (cost index) to gain fuel efficiency

Fuel usage already takes into account these things per each flight.

mmmh, I agree the first two points are in the game, but I couldn't find the speed adjustment buttons(that I'd use far more for scheduling purposes than for fuel sparing, but that's another story).

Would definitely be very useful, lost count of the number of times I've had flights that are just too short between two airport curfews..

Number of passengers carried and cargo are definitely taken into account.  There may be others that are not obvious to us (wind speed etc)
