NordSwede is proud to announce that their average fleet age is just 2.5 years. :D

Why does NordSwede have such a young fleet age? Well, its because they've phased out their 1st Generation Fokker F27s and all their other aircraft were delivered new from factory / 2nd hand but less than 1 year old.

All of their DC-8s are a few months old and their BAC 1-11s ranging from 3 years to a few months old.

Also, NordSwede plans to get rid of a handful of BAC1-11-200s. Why? This is because of the limited range of the BAC 1-11-200s and they can be replaced with the -300 as the new -500 arrive into the fleet. Yes, this is expensive for NordSwede. However, the BAC 1-11-200s cant be put on any other routes due to the low demand.

2 BAC 1-11-200s have already left the fleet
