Jet Egypt Solidifies Position in North African Market
« on: September 10, 2019, 04:59:40 PM »
Jet Egypt was founded in 2007 with the vision of making high-quality regional service a reality for Egyptians. A lot has changed since the launch of our first flight from Cairo to Tel Aviv (operated by a Fokker 100), and we have some exciting announcements to make as we are one year away from our 20th anniversary.

Since 2017, we've been undergoing a significant fleet expansion program, operating two types of Embraer jet aircraft. Today, we are proud to announce that we're expecting our 100th aircraft, a brand new Embraer 195-E2 (including our Horus business class service), to join our fleet before the end of November. At the same time, we've been working on reducing the number of leased aircraft by gradually purchasing new aircraft from Embraer.

Jet Egypt holds over 40% market share at Alexandria-El Nouzha, 25% at Luxor, and is nearing 10% market share at the region's busiest airport, Cairo International. In the coming months, we will introduce additional daily flights to our most popular destinations, striving to offer comfortable departure and arrival times so you can travel seamlessly. We pride ourselves on being Africa's big small airline and serving North Africa alongside our Sky Alliance partner North African Airways, and we'd love to see you on board!
