could we get a game that starts on september 3 1945 this is one day after the surrender of japan. such a start date would provide challanges that could not be found at other times as viable aircraft would be hard to come by early but after 6 months to a year armys around the world would start to dump there extra planes on the market call the game rebuilding the sky for the first 10 years

What would be the point of trying to run a fake airline without viable fake aircraft available? The game is challenging enough as it is.

Well....DC3’s, DC2, and early Connie were “available” pre-war.

Everyone complained that the 1950 start was unplayable due to lack of birds for several years(Myself, I had to use improbable frames as IL12s or B377s - up to 1970).
so 1945? Well, I know I'd love it, but I can already hear the moaning.

The lack of frames wasn't really an issue in GW1 for what it's worth - I believe Sami did a rebalance of the available aircraft at the start, and that combined with the slot changes helped a lot

Old slow dirty birds now a bigger problem than ever due to wind penalties harsher on range. Unless add ABCDCBA for the early times still useless.

The earliest year by design is 1950 and played games have shown that practically 1955 is the first "true" year where it's feasible to start.

The beginning of the GW2 that started in 1950 seemed pretty fine to me. Dealing with wartime birds was indeed interesting.
However it's true that the new wind component might have changed things quite a bit.

i liked the 1950 start of GW2! sure, not many aircraft available and all, but i liked how one could make routes with C-46s and techstops and all. in my opinion the only problem with 1950 start was too high demand - but the 1955 start is no different in that perspective (except that more bigger planes are available).
