[-] moving schedule - show aircraft at ALL airports
« on: June 25, 2019, 05:53:12 AM »
so I'm a large airline in GW3 and moving a lot of schedules to newer planes, that get delivered to LAX my HQ.

When I move the schedule of a plane in Boston or MSP or SFO, first I have to rebase the aircraft from LAX to the relevant airport, then use the "move schedule" button to move to the plane. Kinda annoying when you have 100+ to do!

I'd like to ask that the "move schedule to" button presents unused planes at ALL bases, and not just those at the same base as the soon to be vacated plane. It could be there is a $50K cost or 2 day delay penalty when a plane at another base is selected and AWS rebases the chosen aircraft for me.

It would save so many repetitive keystrokes of rebasing aircraft in a separate tab.

It is possible to bulk rebase aircraft already, which does remove a large number of the keystrokes you're talking about in this case.

Quick lesson in history - when the base feature was introduced, there was originally a small cost associated with moving planes between bases (something like 20-30k). That was eliminated at some point (I think when bulk moves between bases were introduced).

Use 'mass rebase' option for this. (been there for years?)

Use 'mass rebase' option for this. (been there for years?)

It hurts to mass rebase when the target of the rebasing are in different bases.
