According to Wiki the first ‘big’ alliances started around the beginning of the 1990s, which kinda makes sense to me at least.

The overheads and complications of maintaining integrated booking systems, codeshares, etc before that time would surely have been enormous: huge staff costs to administer without computers and the internet, no?

We don’t do any of that.

I like to think of AWS alliances as a group effort to better our airlines as well as in later times functioning like a credit union.

 :( sadly code sharing isnt in the game it should be it would be nice to get a bump from having flights conecting me to my aliance members but nope you just get a bonus pasangers based on your aliances score

You kinda do as being in an alliance gives you a small CI/marketing boost.

Now this i agree with 100%, i ordered close to 350 Avro RJ's and almost 500 Superjets trough my alliance last GW2 ;D
