Goodbye to our workhorse
« on: January 08, 2019, 05:52:04 PM »
It's a sad day, but a bright day for the future at Sakura Airlines today, as we sadly can announce that the very last of our rear-end engined workhorse the MD-80 series take of later today towards its final destination in the desert of Alice Springs, Australia. Were it will have its final resting place.

An era has gone, but we also need to be aware of the future of Sakura Airlines, therefore we are proud to present our first step into the future, as we at Sakura Airlines is currently working into streamlining our fleet for a more eco enviromentally friendly aircrafts such as the new generation of Boeing 737s that use less fuel than its predecessor MD80's

Next phase of our streamlining program we are already in a good length of way in saying our goodbyes to the much smaller de Havilland Canada DHC-8/300's as we replace them with its newer counterpart Bombardier Q400 Dash-8.

Trustee fans of the MD80 and customers of Sakura Airlines are welcomed to say goodbye to our beloved bird MD-87 as it takes of later today at Kagoshima Airport at 5pm
