Cobalt looking at retiring unprofitable A330-300
« on: October 30, 2018, 11:38:11 AM »
Since launching long-haul services from it's base in Larnaca, the single Airbus A330-300 operating services to Johannesburg (1x Weekly), New York JFK (2x Weekly), Beijing Capital (1x Weekly) and Hong Kong (1x Weekly) as well as a 1x weekly service to Paris CDG to assist in capacity has seen major draining on the airline's funds, with over half a million USD lost per week.

The airline is looking at closing the routes in 2 months, if the routes don't start showing signs of turning around, to focus the A330-300 on inter-european and east-asian markets.
