Yeah, but the nerf also hits all other aircraft. The hit on the 757 just makes it less practical to fly really long distances on larger routes. Which is the general problem were talking about.

If you force users to use 2 or 3 times the amount of aircraft (757) to achieve the same cargo tonnage moved. Doesn't that effectively hurt them too though?

You're effectively saying to reduce the price of heavy cargo by two thirds, which would make the handling fees likely exceed the cost of carrying it for all planes.

Price?.. You mean capacity reduction/revenue reduction? Then yeah, something like that wouldn't effect a 747 as much as it would a 757. Since the only real reason you use a 757PF on tech-stopping world tour ventures is because of its ability to carry HC on the cheap. Limited that profit and flying 757s becomes a true personal choice.
