Just a few days before AERBRA's 45th anniversary, one of the companies' Airbuses comes out of the company's hangar in Salvador with a livery identical to what the company used to be seen back in the 60s.

This livery was used by AERBRA from its foundation in 1964 through the company's last DC7 flight 1972. The choice of the Airbus A340 to receive the classic livery, according to the company's spokesman Rodovalho Villa, "was to make tribute to the 4-engined airplanes of the era, notably the Douglas DC-8 and the Boeing 707".

The A340 registered PT-BAR, just returned from its 1st D-check, will be the only aircraft of the fleet to have the special livery. Also, every flight made by this aircraft will feature a catering service typical of the 60s. "The meals served will be the same offerd by the company in the 60s, the crew's outfit will be the same of those times, we'll offer flowers for people onboarding to San Francisco and things like that", guaranteed Rodovalho. "We'll only not allow passengers to visit the cockpit during the flight because of post-911 policies, but we're working on that". The tickets for flights on PT-BAR will be slightly higher and anyone interested in flying it will check the company's website ( for its schedule, which will change every week. The aircraft will cover all intercontinental flights made by the company during this year before being shed for another paint job and revert to the current livery.
