Hi,
I was comparing the 737-900 and 900ER, and found the seating options quite odd:
Max HD Default Classic* * meant as a rather classic config a player would select
900 189 180 3-10-156
900ER 215 186 3-10-156
What's odd is that despite a 26 seat difference in HD and 6 in Std, the "Classic" config remains the same, with no room for a single additional seat.
IRL, if by taking off the first 4 rows of Std in the 900 you can fit in these 3F and 10C, then there is no reason you cannot do it on the 900ER.
(but if you go 3-15-144 on the 900, however, you have a 3-15-150 on the 900ER)
I know seating is based on the floor surface, and thus that the additional row could be lost by just a quarter of an inch, but still, if something could be done about that, that would be very nice. Because this is just one example, but there are plenty of them across the planes / possible configs.
Maybe something including the surface, but also taking the theoretical "real" rows into account?
Thanks.
