While it technically within the scope of the "Missing Airport" thread, but I guess the circumstances probably warrant another thread about it.
Federated States of Micronesia, as well as
Marshall Islands, are two large island countries in the Polynesia part of Oceania with many airports within each of them, but none of them are in the airwaysim, and as far as I can search about, the two countries themselves are not in airwaysim either.
And then in Africa, although less notable in term of air service, but
Somalia is an important country in East Africa in term of amount of population and also the area it have covered and there should at least have some airports for the country in the game.
On the other hand, there is a small territory known as
Cocos (Keeling) Islands which is an Australian territory and have been in the AWS list of countries since always but it doesn't seems like it actually have any airport listed under it within AWS? While the airport in the territory doesn't have much demand but from Wikipedia it was an historically important stopover point and still have scheduled flights nowadays.
Airports on Midway Atolls and Wake Islands in
United States Minor Outlying Islands was also important stopover waypoints for civilian flights on the Pacific in the era before invention of long range jet aircraft.
Also, it seems like
Niue is missing from the game too.
On the oppose side of the earth,
Falkland Islands on the South Atlantic Ocean is also missing. Also in South Atlantic Ocean is the British territory of
Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha which include the recently finished Saint Helena airport and the airfield on Ascension Island
Edit: Lists for airports:
