[ok] base opening - 2 airlines of same alliance

This is a feature request;
When an airline 'A' opens a base where there is already an airline 'B' of same alliance, the system should not allow the airline to open this base. When airline A tries to open this base, he should get an error message saying that there is already an airline of the same alliance already there.

It is against AWS rule anyways to do that and most of the time when this happens it's usually a simple oversight of the player. It has happened to me, it has happened to another one of our alliance. By the time it got noticed, he had already half of his fleet at the other base. Had to BK'd... Please lets get this feature.

If this ends up being coded, might as well add a checker to the join alliance process as well incase the alliance admins are sleeping on the job

Even just a simple thing when selecting an airport for a new base it automatically hides the airports Alliance Partners are already based at. This would certainly help base selection when markets get big (EDIT Like EU or US), having nearly opened a base where there was good demand before seeing an alliance member there. It would be nice if all those bases where automatically cut out.

Similarly with joining an alliance, any players that have basing conflicts are automatically hidden from selection and those players can't apply to an alliance by default.

Why is it that you can't have a base in the same city as your alliance partner ?
In reality this would be a good thing for ongoing connections ect , for example a regional carrier that's in partnership with a domestic and international carrier would base themselves in the major hub and funnel regional traffic into the international operation and vice versus ... I don't see why you can't share a base with an alliance partner , being in an alliance you can strategise routes and departures and try to dominate the competition etc ... am I missing something ?

You answer yourself with trying to dominate the competition. Even in real life airlines can run into problems with Competition authorities. In a game it's important that there are some things put in place to stop people coordinating in an unfair manner to other people. Even a Regional feeder airline and Major carrier arrangement would need a huge amount of policing and throw up mountains of complaints about how they handle things. Two airlines coordinating routes and slots at one airport would be far too anti-competitive to other airlines in the game which wouldn't be fair given how we all pay and get given the same chances as every other person. Better to just enforce a fair blanket ban on just on alliance member per airport than make it ambiguous in anyway.

Also most of the things you talk about aren't actually modelled in the game, so it's not really relevant in the current Game Simulation.

There is no hard limit on this since in some case the another airline might be closing down that base. Rare thing yes... But could add a note of it at least.
