[-] Richest CEO after bankrupting
« on: February 14, 2017, 11:38:38 PM »
Isn't it a bit odd that when an airline bks, if the airline restarts the CEO finances remain part of the original equation.

In GW1, Seven Air has now bankrupted two large airlines, twice in the same game. That airline has returned a third time to Washington this time, and they're still at the top of the ranking having pulled out a significant lead in the 1960s that has never been let go of.  I'm thinking a new airline should start all metrics back at 0, and CEO wealth should be no different

CEO wealth is money the user had earned. The bankrupting of an airline doesn't mean the CEO bankrupts.

I am aware of that. And I'm aware there are two sides to every point of view.

The reason I bring it up though is the idea and the way making money as a CEO happens has changed. In fact the reason the airline took an unassailable lead is because this changed around 1963 in this particular gameworld.

But what is the reason for change? Well I get the impression Sami is doing it to find a better way for this metric to be decided based upon company success. It's that feeling that Sami is seeking to make it a metric of company success, that I raise this issue, because clearly it's the fastest to raise their wage every few months and give them self an unjustifiable bonus.

CEO salary is something you earn. It does not go away with the company bankruptcy. => not a bug.

How about zero CEO pay, is that justifiable?

What real airline has CEOs earning zero?

My virtual airline does. It's unjustifiable. I need food and shelter like anyone else, but I'm living off sunlight and sleeping on the streets, apparently.

I don't see anyone complaining of this ridiculous penny pinching maneuver.
