Italian Express CEO Wil Davidson has called a press conference to unvail their plans to increase the number of destinations served by launching a new long haul service. There has been some speculation in the Italian media about the future plans of the airline as up until now they have focussed on domestic and medium haul destinations. Davidson says it was the next logical step to further expand their operation. The first set of destinations have been identified as Philidelphia, Chicago O'Hare, Newark Liberty, Toronto Pearson, Washington Dulles, New York - John F Kennedy and Mashad. The first flight will be on 10th July 1972 with 1 weekly flight with a full daily schedule expected to be in place before the end of 1972. Following this more destinations will be announced in due course.
