« on: June 10, 2016, 01:42:14 PM »
1982 has come and gone and what a year it was,
We saw the launch of the Commodore 64 and the first computer virus in January,
Capital punishment without parental consent was deemed a breach of human rights in February,
ground was broken on the Vietnam memorial in Washington DC in March,
April saw a dust up between Thatcher's UK and Leopoldo Galtieri's Argentina over the Falklands in April, May and June,
Italy wins the 1982 World cup hosted by Spain in July beating West Germany 3-1,
August saw the production of the new CDs in Germany, they will never catch on,
September sees the first UN international peace day,
the first CD players are produced by Sony in October,
Michael Jackson releases the album Thriller at the end of November,
and December finishes with Time magazine labelling the Man of the year the Computer,

What a year it was and What a year to come!
