Hong Kong's leading airline, Royal Pacific Airlines, is alleged to be the subject of a "dirty tricks" campaign, an allegation which its CEO, Meso Hi, strenuously denies. The scandal surrounds free fortune cookies served on all flights which passengers have reported contain disparaging remarks about other airlines based in Hong Kong.
"This is a completely unwarranted suggestion", claimed Hi, who was interviewed whilst assisting ground staff shovelling huge quantities of fortune cookies into the front of No.1 engine on a recently delivered Boeing 707. "We are not destroying them, we are making sure they are properly cooked" explained Hi.
Apparently messages included "Consider yourself fortunate - you could have chosen Fairy Air" and "Confucius say 'If we don't know life, how can we know what flying Hongkong British Airways is like".
