Production slots

Hi,

I've read several topics regarding production slots & manual, thou I'm still not sure about the mechanics.

Let's say, I have ordered 10 planes from certain production line. If I cancel the order, what happens with the previously occupied by me slots? Are they free (left open) or all producition speeds up? If I place another order right away will I get the same slots if noone else grab them in mean time or no?
