Daysleeper Air banned from 'Airplane Craigslist'
« on: December 31, 2015, 03:24:08 AM »
DENVER - For the 3th week in a row, the Denver-based carrier Daysleeper Air is disconnected from a database containing information on available secondhand airplanes. The database, a Craigslist for airplanes, has shut down the carriers access after receiving multiple desperate calls for 777's.

According to a leading airtravel economist, a recent surge in longhaul demand has driven airlines to desperateness: "being locked out for stalking the market is one thing. Some airlines have even moved to more extreme measures, like  considering planes from Russia."

This newspaper contacted the market for their side of the story. A spokesperson didn't want to share too much details. All she could say was: "The market listings have been refreshed. 0 new aircraft on market."

it depends on your choice of planes though ;) If you're the Magic Carpet kind, there are still planes out there suitable for that kind of operation ;)
