[ok] Motor Sich and Motor-Sich and ZMKB Progress?
« on: December 06, 2015, 01:26:54 AM »
Hi all,

I was looking into my fleet commonality today and noticed that the D-436 type engine is produced by Motor Sich, which the AI-30 type engine is produced by Motor-Sich and are calculated as two different engine manufacturing companies. As far as I know, these two should be the same company.

Also, when comparing the Antonov An-148/An-158 jetliners with the Tupolev Tu-334 jetliner, you can notice that the one is using the Motor Sich D-436-148 engine and the other is using the ZMKB Progress D436T1 engine. As of Soviet tradition, the designer of the aircraft/engine is seperated from the manufacturer of the aircraft/engine. This is also the case with Ivchenko-Progress ZMKB (designer) and Motor Sich (producer).

ZKMB and Motor Sich are already counted as the same manufacturer.

The typo is corrected to master database, will be seen in new games.
