[-] Demand bug GW1 at Seoul Incheon
« on: September 09, 2015, 11:31:30 AM »
Pointing out as my understanding demand fluctuation should not be over 50%

Seoul to Quito was an average demand over 200 and last flights to old airport averaged 175 pax.  Average demand is now about 90 a day with about 65 pax.

Seoul to Guayaquil was about 90 and not served.  now it is over 200.  (Obviously could add, but not ideal given there is no substitute route at the moment for Quito-Seoul)

I wouldn't assume the variability to be this extreme...especially on long haul routes.

Same thing Bahrain-Seoul. Demand plummeted from over 200 to less than 80 when the new Seoul airport opened.

The changes in the demand are caused by the different properties of the airports, which will cause minor differences in the demand calculation, which will cause more incremental changes in the final resulting demand values. There's no easy fix to this.. (only possible fixable error would be if the demand would be based on real-life stats but in this case it is not)
