Almost zero interest from anyone to a310 - is there something wrong with this plane? It was around for more than a year - and literally almost no orders, while there is large log of orders for L1011 and B767
I was flying lots of a310 (and 300-600) in previous games - but now scared to order them...  :o

All depends on what your long term goals are and what other fleets you plan o operating. The 4th fleet penalty causes lots of players to keep certain types longer then they would if there wasn't a penalty to operate more than 3 fleets. It could be a good option.

nothing is wrong with the 310(or 306), problem is people has too much delivery backlog dc10 or tristar making it no real point to order them, especially if you are in a lease agreement.

Yea, nothing wrong with them.  I'm currently operating 15 A300B2's / B4's very profitably too.

I would like to have operated them - they would have been absolutely ideal for me, now in the 1980s. With very limited long haul options and lots of high density 2000nm routes a combination of A310 for LH and A300 for SH would have been perfect.  Except...  The family is too limited and so would end up needing replacement fairly early in the game.  I would eventually need to switch to 767-300ER or A330 within 10 or 12 years anyway, so I decided to just wait a little longer for the better 767s to be available. I expect the 767-400ER to eventually be doing the job my A300s would have done.  The natural expansion in the real world from A300 and A310 is to the A330 family but these have no commonality in this game so there is little point.  I can stick with 767s until the end of the game but the fuel economy on the A310 in particular would be really poor by the late 90s. If the A330-200 and A330-300 had been called A300-700 and A300-800 then things might have been different...  :D
