Effect of aircraft model age?

Some models remain in production a very long time (IMHO to a point being unrealistic), e.g. the 737-200Adv which is still being produced in year 2000 (GW#1). Is there any penalty (other than fuel consumption and noise) when operating newly produced older models? E.g. would operating a young fleet of 737-200Adv be better CI-wise, than having a 10+ year old fleet of a "more modern" model?

No impact to CI at all, so cost is your main concern. There are provisions for noise regulations in place, but that feature seems to have fallen to the wayside - the 737 jurassic should be fine after hushkits are applied, though, comets not so much.
