I'm about 90 million in debt right now. A space in the new gen 737 production line opened up 3 years ahead of schedule so I took out a 130million and bought 6 and leased another 6. There are situations where you have to act quickly and it's OK to have a lot of debt.

1.4 billion in debt now and i couldn't be happier. 3 million a week in interest is nothing compared to the benefits of aggressively expanding and upgrading my fleet.

Hmmm Darthluke, there seems to be a pattern emerging of going bankrupt!    I have to say I have done the same a number of times, but am starting to find some of the tips on here very useful, like not buying planes that are too old, and manually managing your staff levels keeping the 'operational' staff like pilots etc at 105% and the office staff remaing at 100% levels, it can be a bit of a pain as every time you bring a new plane onto a route, you also have to adjust the staff levels, but its all good fun!!!!  I hope you do well with your new airline too!

Nice topic I'm currently (20 days after start flying) only 9 555 USD in debit, but I didn't take any loan Flying regional routes in Europe with de Havilland DH.114... i already ordered new Boeing 707-320C (leased too) which will arrive 2 monhts and 24 days and will be operating on my first long-haul route.. well, i hope I came to black numbers..
