Does anyone know how to make a bloody profit in this game?

If any1 could give me a few pointers it would be much appreciated!

At present i have 1 737-200Adv Flying from Heathrow to Paris Orly!

Profit - £190 700 a day.   :(

There is a lot of advice already on the forums, please search. Daily profit of 190700 from a single plane is not that bad, though.

I think I AM NOT EVEN MAKING A PROFIT

Sorry, I did not notice you had negative profit...

Well, you don't mention which game you are playing, but in any world Heathrow-Orly should be very competetive. If you have just started your airline and have low company and route image, you just can not compete with the more established airlines. Therefore you should look for routes that have a decent demand but are not yet served by anyone. You don't mention whether your hub is Heathrow or Orly, but both of them are huge airports attracting lots of players, making the competition fierce. It might be a better idea to find a slightly smaller hub airport which would still have enough demand for profitable routes. Wherever you are based, remember to spend money on advertising so that your image goes up.

Thanks, im currently relocating to Luton.... No other airlines are based here.

Should i start off flying big planes 737-200Adv or A DHC-8-100!

What ever i seem to do my "Operating Costs" always way exceed what profit i can make, even with all flights at 90-100% LF.

Im doomed  :(

Im playing Game #3

Thanks for your replies.  ;D

If you don't start off at London Heathrow on the first day, you are pretty much SOL. After year or two game time, that airport will have no more slots left which will make it difficult for you to expand.

I would say start off with a Boeing 727/737 is a pretty safe plane. If you are flying the right routes at the start, those planes can bring you a lot of money! over $150,000 each day easily. However, if you want to start off with flying to smaller nearby airports, I would recommend getting smaller airplane (50-100 seater) if you are not sure if you will get over 50% LF on a B727/737.

I think i may just have cracked where i keep going wrong!

Under the routes screen i didnt notice [route planning] so i was just having a wild guess at how popular the route would be.

Now ive discovered that i know what the demand for a flight is eachday and can structure my scheduling around that.

Sorry im a complete noob!

Thanks  :)
