New random events generator

Hi everybody! I was wondering if the event generator will take into account that some airports are located in very "quiet" and safe places. I.e. Dubai airport can be affected by fog or sandstorm, but besides that, it is a farily good airport in terms of weather and other potential natural catastrophes... Will this be taken into account, or will the generator put some volcano near Dubai? or perhaps trigger a war between Iran and Oman, messing up the whole region? :)

Hope I can get some answers/clarification on this...

Curse

All airports are treated the same.

All airports are treated the same.

With the exception that if nobody flies there (or there are only like 1-20 routes to it, depending a bit on player number) then it's excluded and no events can happen. (since it would be "waste" of a good event so to speak...).

But yes, Dubai can have fog. (like it can in real life too .. not that often .. but still)

Curse

Would be boring if Dubai can only get sand storms. Why not a snow storm? Adds fun and it happens sometimes. ;)

I don't want to be a "game pooper", but i think that not all the airports are the same, therefore the even generator should take also this into account... :) It is definitely true that there are airports located in "better" places than others, and therefore this should be reflected in the events generator. I mean, no problem with having natural phenomenons like fog rain or whatever in Dubai, but a volcano erupting there is just totally unrealistic :)

Curse

While there might be no active volcano in Dubai, there are several big and active volcanoes around - in Congo, Reunion, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Indonesia etc. etc. Depending on wind direction and condition such an outbreak could limit or close down airtraffic for that area like it happened in Europe.

I understand that implement different events (probability that an even will happen) for all the airports that the game offer can be demanding.

Anyway this is a simulation, right? So I agree that the airports should be treated differently. I expect to find fog in London more often than in Rome.

Otherwise why not have an aliens attack or Godzilla catching the planes?

It's fully impossible to model every possible combination for all of the ~3000 airports. (never intended, and not planned for future either)
