[-] Realistic Maintenance check intervals
« on: February 16, 2014, 10:48:21 AM »
I would like to request a realistic maintenance program, i.e based on hours of the aircraft and cycles, like it is in the real world.

Somehow it is not realistic that an aircraft that has been standing for a year and not flown an hour all of a sudden needs a C check.

Same for D checks which are normally cycle/hour based instead of fixed time frame like here...

Also, this could be used as most airframes have cycle life limit.

correct.... and it's the same for staff... if you schedule 1 flight a week or 100 on an aircraft, you need the same number of pilots ... I don't like that
and... many of the MD-80 I'm currently flying have more cycles than what they have been certified for in real life  ;D ...
