Surviving C Checks
« on: February 11, 2014, 04:16:12 AM »
Ok I'm a couple months out but C check time is coming. Any suggestions to not bring my airline to a screeching hault?  This is where I lost it last time so I'm hoping to be more successful this go around.

Really not that much of a trick, just grow fast enough to sit it out. C-Checks are an annual occurance so you should plan with them.

I've done D-Checks on 20-year-old Russian birds. Just try and plan ahead for the costs. You should be able to get a few C-Checks done in the red if necessary before they stop getting done but that is a last resort.

Grow fast and make sure C-Checks don't occur all at the same time or pepare for that long enough. Costs are easily calculated by C-Check*2, that covers up all the costs you have while the aircraft is not in the air (leasing, staff, fuel contracts etc.).
