Route Specific Marketing

In expanding to new airports, its obvious that one would start with 0 RI and low LF. While the LF depends on multiple factors (demand being key, but also time of the day and aircraft) is it a good idea to start marketing a route that you haven't launched yet? I typically route and schedule service a few weeks out before my aircraft get delivered. Just wondering if it would help at all in starting the campaign a few weeks before the first flight or if its just a waste of money and should launch after the route begins to fly. Thanks in advanced!

Waste of money.

RI will go up because of the marketing, then RI will go down due to it not being flown. Don't start marketing until you're actually flying it.
