Engine

I am concerned with commonality for obvious reasons.

I wonder if I will have to pay for a new engine's maintenance if I go with a 15 versus what I use now (15a).  Or, is there some sort of discount!?

I believe they are counted as the same model..  I think so at least but can't remember anymore. Or should be so as it's the same core engine.

Then as a follow-up...

I am getting older 737s (200).

They have the 15 or 15a   or... they have the 17 17A or 17R

I just want to make sure I am not completely screwing my company up financially if I get different engines.

Confirming, they are the same...  Actually even seems that the same base engine (JT8D) is enough.
