[ok] Cost of IL-96
« on: September 03, 2012, 08:44:32 PM »
Iíve decided to run an experiment in DoTM and fly the IL-96 on routes dominated by the Boeing and Airbus wide bodies.  The current list price in game for a new IL-96 is $88 million; however the list price Iíve heard in the real world for the IL-96-300 is $45 million to $52 million. In 2008 the list price for the IL-96-400 was $62 million, $26 million less than the list price for a new IL-96-300 in game.

I just thinking that reducing the cost of the IL-96 in game to reflect realistic values would help the IL-96 become a better choice for smaller airlines and help make up for some of the high fuel use rates. As things are right now the L-1011-500 has nearly the same range, less fuel usage, and is even cheaper.  I think a price around $48 million per airframe would be a reasonable amount to both reflect real world values and make it a slightly more popular aircraft with users.
