Bankruptcy Warning
« on: January 18, 2009, 11:38:15 AM »
I know what triggers an Bankruptcy Warning; big red-numer-cash and operating at loss.

I got my first bakruptcy message some days ago, and after my lease went out on one of my planes, I managed to reorganise the other planes, and my airline is now going with a steady profit.

But the ugly Bankruptcy Warning-box is still there.
What does it takes for it to go away? All my company needs now i time.

It is updated once every 24hrs

Triggers to get the warning in first place are:

* negative financial result over last 30 days
AND
* either negative company value OR negative cash  (negative = less than 5 million or so)

Does both criteria have to be fulfilled to get it away again to?

I have positive results past 3 months now.

Don't think I can get my cash up to > -5.000.000 before the deadline.
Inverse to airlines, it is a slow crawl up, and really, rally fast down.

:p

Thanks!

-7 mil cash + 3 mil loan -> value -11 mil .. that's quite much.

It is not easy turning a company around when you don't have the money to cut cost.
as in: Couldn't afford to cancel the lease, had to wait until it ran out, so the total cost became more than just the money spent on lease.

But now i make a nice 150.000 - 250.000 pr. week!
Shame if it is all to late.

So I was kinda hoping for some understanding from the banks.
"Hey! I am making money now. Don't liquidate my airline, and you'll get your money back!"
-type-sort'a...

I've had the warning for a couple of days now (real time) - but I have no loans and $100m+ cash in the bank.  Guess it was triggered by a big loan and a load of purchases that put my value negative...but it rectified pretty quickly.  Sami - is it a bug or do I just need to sit it out?

It resets max after 24hrs after the BC triggers no longer exist.  ..make sure you've made profit for the last month for starters.

hi, wondering if any1 can help? ive just had a bankruptcy warning and that unless my financial situation improves that bank would take over airline?
im a bit confused because my airline makes between 4-6 million per day! i did have a 40 million loan which i paid when i got warning.
i dont really understand this as warning also said my airline is losing money which it is not and never has?
any help would be appreciated.

Well it's because the airline value is so largely negative .. But if you are really making money, then the warning clears within 24hrs. see top of the thread for the trigger conditions.

I've had the same problems as the others. 21 million in the bank, no loans, 6 million weekly profit and have the 2nd warning. I am holding off ordering any more planes because I am afraid of being shut down. I have been making a profit in the last month and a half. Shouldn't bankruptcy be for negative value and negative cash?
