Older order value
« on: April 11, 2012, 05:27:26 PM »
Hi Everybody,

A while ago I ordered some 788s for the market price at the time, which was $ 170 million, but by this time the market price has gone up to $ 178 million. Will those 787s be valued at the order price or at the market value at the moment of delivery?

Thanks in advance!

regards,

NovemberCharlie

You will pay what you locked into at the time of the order.

Yeah I know that but the question was ment more like this: Will the value of the plane be what I paid or what it's worth at delivery?

regards,

The "value" should be what it is worth at delivery, basically giving your company's CV a rather healthy boost. Keep in mind that the "value" will decline over time with use, age, etc, so it probably won't be exactly what you see on the new page, but close.

Ok thanks. It essentially means that I will make an initial theoretical profit on the first 787s of 8 million dollar!
