I do not like flying Emirates, but I sure admire their success! Cool news for Boeing! I think the 1000th 777 is for Emirates as well.

Really? I thought they were awesome.

Same here, although apparently some airlines do 9 seats across in a 777 instead of Emirates' 10 abreast but that was comfortable enough.

Their new ICE AVOD is awesome!

If you're flying anything but coach then sure. For me, anyways, that extra seat in each row makes a noticeable difference not just in seat comfort but it makes me feel cramped in as well.

9 seats is comfortable, I can imagine 10 being tough, especially on very long flights 777 is intended for...

I was in economy class... but I don't think I'd flown a 777 before (maybe a BA 777-200 when I was too young to remember) so I guess I had nothing to compare it to.

The flight was only 6/7 hours on a 777-300ER EK010 LGW-DXB. Return leg on EK001 to LHR in an A380 was much more comfortable.

I flew coach in a EK 773 from DXB-CHC and back, wasn't noticeably uncomfortable or cramped. The A30 from between DXB and LHR was slightly better though.

Do any of you guys stand at 6"7 (2,00m) as I do? Otherwise, you do NOT know what is cramped!  :D

Lol, that's why I love the MD80.

I can certainly relate.  Even at 6'2" - 6'3", I tend to suffer in economy seats.  But it is more seat distance (pitch) that is a problem, not the seat width.  But wider seat tends to help a little in order to find a comfortable angle for my legs...

aisle seats are a must for me but FAs dont mind running in to me on purpose

Window all the way for me... I enjoy the views. Especially fore or aft of wings to watch the various devices in operation.

You can watch food/drink cart in operation when in the isle seat  ;)
