Author Topic: How can I minimize my expenses on a plane that I leased for 15 years?  (Read 1292 times)

Let's speculate here for a second  :-\
Supposed I have leased a 767 for oh, I dunno, 15 years, to do a small run between Chicago and Kansas City, and now I realized it was not a smart move.  ;D
Terminating the lease would cost me 49 milions$ and that is 48 milions over what I have.
What can I do with this flying white elephant?
a) assigned it to a better route? (What would that be? long international haul?)
b) not assign any route to it, and just let it be?

I don't know what my options really are.

If you ground it, the leases will make a very deep hole on your financials, specially at start up. What kind of 767 is? if it's a 763, try deploying it across the pond for a 7-weekly to one destination.
